((Friday,December 21. An Hour afterschool))
Almost everyone was gone. It was the holidays now, and there was no reason to remain in the school building. Not for most people, anyway, but Mackenzie had to make up a French test and hand in some more assignments. Her brain was frazzled, a stew of confusion and exhaustion in a light cream sauce. She sat at one of the tables, dusted off the snow, and thought. Well, the new year should certainly be interesting.
Although, this could have been the best year I've had yet.
Even if Blake hates my guts.
She sighed, pulling out her cellphone, checking the time. Even if there was a whole break ahead of her, there was little excitement. Christmas would be boring, and there would still be a shitton of work to do. |

There was nothing like cinnamon buns from Cinnabon Adria thought carrying her two boxes out of school. She had brought them to eat for lunch but had forgotten about them in her locker. And now an hour after school(she had fallen asleep in the assembly hall), Adria was finally leaving to go home. But first she would eat the cinnamon buns! She took notice of Mackenzie and recognized her from school even though she never talked to her really.
"Hello~!" Adria said smiling and taking a seat across from her. She placed the two Cinnabon boxes on the table and took a second to choose one to eat and then pushed the other one towards Mackenzie. "Your name's Mackenzie, right?" And then Adria started to work on eating the cinnamon bun. |

Mackenzie snapped out of her thoughts, head pounding from all of this new emotional stress, and stared up at the redheaded girl. Not Zee.
"Oh...good afternoon." She blinked, wondering how many 'Things that do not happen to Kenzie' subjects would be marked away as happened. Such as random classmates being kind to her.
"Oh, thank you!" Her eyes grew wide looking down at the cinnamon bun, her stomach growling in approval. But, she didn't dare take the offering without knowing who she spoke to. "You know my name...but I do not know yours. I'm sorry." |

Adria was amused at Mackenzie's eyes growing wide over the cinnamon bun but knew that no one could resist a Cinnabon cinnamon bun. "You're welcome!" Adria said smiling while tearing pieces of the bun apart before she ate it. "Oh no! It's okay. I'm good with names I guess," Adria was a bit disappointed that she didn't know her name but her tone of voice didn't show it.
"My name's Adria Rosewood. I'm a junior." |

Strolling across the grounds, Jenny swung her beat-up fake leather bag in wide arcs. Her plan to be miserable at school was working far better than she'd ever dreamed of. And she was getting sick of it.
She narrowed her eyes, gazing across the yard. She spotted the two girls, sharing baked goods with one another. "Perhaps it's time to try and be social," she told herself. With that, Jenny headed towards the two, trying to think of something to say. |

"Oh, I'm completely awful with names, but pretty good at faces." Mackenzie began an attack on Fort Cinnabon and started to pick apart delicious layers of pastry and cinnamon. "I'm a junior, too, I suppose. It was weird, the summer semester, but I should be considered a junior by now. It's pretty much the second semester of a normal school year."
Nomnomnom cinnamon.
Her brain felt fried and limp, a bit disheveled and loopy. It was a good thing that it was almost break.
Spotting another girl in the yard with them, Mackenzie looked over at Adria, and then to the newcomer and waved. "Good afternoon~" |

"Yeah, summer semester was weird," Adria said nodding. She continued devouring her cinnamon bun. Adria sure did like cinnamon buns.
Before she could continue their conversation she also saw the other girl. "Hello!" She called over waving to her. |

((Um. I guess we just go on? x_x?))
"I could have played so many more video games if that summer semester hadn't existed..." Mackenzie whined, the fork's tip still in her mouth. |

| "Yeah, it really sucked," Adria said frowning, "My parents were planning this big elaborate vacation and then we had to put it off." Adria was so excited about that last year. They were going to tour Europe! |
